WHO WE ARE
Global Empowerment Ministries was founded in 2005 with a simple but powerful belief: God has called His people to more than survival. We are a Christian ministry built at the intersection of faith and the marketplace — training entrepreneurs, empowering families, and developing communities through the timeless principles of Scripture and sound business practice.
Our vision extends beyond Detroit. We are building a global community of social entrepreneurs committed to ending poverty, creating jobs, and lifting up the name of Jesus through the work of their hands.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Art Cartwright
Art Cartwright is the Founder of Global Empowerment Ministries.
Mr. Cartwright has built 3 multi-million-dollar companies, and those companies provide jobs and action plans for people throughout the city of Detroit. He is also the business and financial advisor and expert featured on Fox 2 News every other Monday. He has trained and mentors thousands of metropolitan Detroit business owners, helping them build successful businesses — teaching community empowerment through business ownership on a weekly basis at Global Empowerment Ministries.
He is a philanthropist, who gives back to the children of Metro Detroit by adopting entire schools for Christmas. As well, Mr. Cartwright is a funder of small and large business endeavors making sure there are opportunities for minority business owners and women-owned businesses of all color.
Mr. Art Cartwright is a Christian, who without hesitation, acknowledges that he would not be where he is today without the Lord on his side.
